Adding “Child” pages (sub headings)

Here are instructions for creating “child pages” (sub pages) on WordPress. It’s quite simple. Once you have done one it will be very clear how to add the others.

To begin the process, go to Administration > Pages > Add New panel, in the upper right corner of the panel and click the “Page Parent” drop-down menu. The drop-down menu contains a list of all the Pages already created for your site. To turn your current Page into a SubPage, or “Child” of the “Parent” Page, select the appropriate Page from the drop-down menu. If you specify a Parent other than “Main Page (no parent)” from the list, the Page you are now editing will be made a Child of that selected Page. When your Pages are listed, the Child Page will be nested under the Parent Page.

If your changes don’t seem to be taking effect after you’ve clicked “Update” and then “View Page” on your dashboard, your browser may be using a cached version of the site. The simplest fix is to hit the ” F5 ” key. This will refresh your browser and cause it to reload the page, showing you the current changes.
